Daikon is distinguished from other radishes by its size, yield (1 sq.m. grows 10 kg of roots), much milder taste, juiciness. These radishes are suitable for eating fresh, fried, stewed, keep well during the winter. Japanese radish grows well in fertile soils and should not be fertilized with fresh manure. Radish seeds are sown in 2-3 increments, then thinned to leave the strongest seedling.
