Asparagus is a perennial plant. Their young stems-shoots are used for food. Low-calorie, mild-tasting shoots are suitable for canning, cooking and frying. Asparagus likes light soil, demanding moisture throughout the growing season. Before sowing, soak the asparagus seeds for 3-4 days and germinate at 23-25 C. Young asparagus seedlings are afraid of frost, when grown outdoors, they need to be covered at night. Once the seedlings have started to grow, it is necessary to accumulate the plant several times. In autumn, the asparagus is cut to a height of 10 cm and covered with a layer of 8-10 cm of peat. |
