Delivery methods
It should be watered regularly and abundantly. Berries are medium-sized. When ripe, gooseberries do not crack or fall to the ground. The variety is resistant to disease and frost. The soil must be vigorous and moderately moist. The optimum pH is between 5,5 and 6,2.
If planting in autumn, prune in the first spring. If planting in spring, prune immediately after planting. Make the first pruning at 2-3 akela. The bud above which you cut the shoot must be pointing outwards. Provide the fruit with more light during the fruiting period. Cut back five or even six-year-old main branches. The bush should have no more than 12 main branches. Keep the canopy fairly loose. Do not forget to fertilise the plant: compost or mineral fertiliser is recommended. Apply nitrogen fertiliser in early spring and potassium and phosphorus fertiliser in autumn. Water the plant during the dry summer period. This variety is very resistant to gooseberry powdery mildew.
