Hibiscus syriacus is a species of flowering plant in the Malvaceae family. It is native to the East Asian regions, but widely distributed elsewhere, including most of Europe and North America. The name Syriacum is given to it because it was collected in Syrian gardens. It grows up to 2-3 metres tall. Planting site: sunny, partial shade. Blooms in August-September. Likes to be watered.
