Fls to 90mm wide; florets (upper surface) strong purplish red 61B, with brilliant greenish yellow 2B at base; florets (lower surface) light purple 75A, with pale greenish yellow 2D at base. Stem to 1.2m, green with purple. Grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil, enriched with organic matter and general purpose fertiliser, in full sun. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and stake. Water freely in dry periods.
