Delivery methods
A tuberous-rooted perennial to about 90cm, with mid-green foliage. The red-purple flowers, produced from mid-summer to the first frost, are 10cm across with short, inrolled petals giving a very neat effect. Grow in full sun, in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter and general-purpose fertiliser. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants, and stake. Water freely in dry periods.
