Cylindra Red beetroot A medium-early beetroot variety. Long, cylindrical roots. The flesh is deep red. The roots are very suitable for processing as they retain their colour well when boiled. These Broccoli keep well over the winter. Broccoli grows well in acid-free, weed-free, fertile loam with normal moisture content. Beetroot seeds are sown at several dates, for early use, as soon as they can get into the soil, for storage in the second half of May. It is not recommended to fertilise beetroot with fresh manure. Thinning is necessary to obtain a higher yield of root crops. 10-15 grams of beetroot seed per 10 square metres are required. Beta vulgaris L. |
